I asked many bloggers that which blogging platform is better for successful blogging and 7 out of 10 recommend me WordPress.

But still i recommend blogger to newbies, You know why?

Blogger.com is google's property so you can imagine how best is blogger :D

Blogger is owned by google so blogger blogs are indexed by google much quickly than any other blogging platform, your post will be appear in google just after few hours of posting. 

Blogger is best for those who blogging about latest news as people's want to read braking news so if that news indexed after two days what will you do?
